MAJOR UPDATE!

So I know it has been forever, but our home computer has been broken and that's where I manage all of my photo's! So... we had a Christmas party at our house this year. It ended up being a lot of fun, just friends hanging out, playing Guitar Hero, and eating of course! Christmas was lovely this year as well. We opened gifts from each other Christmas Eve. Dan got me all I could have ever asked for and more! We truly did get 100% spoiled this year! Anyways, Christmas morning we woke up and went to my mom's for present and breakfast. We spent a few hours there and then hit the road and headed to Vegas! We got there around 5:00 and had dinner with the DeMille's and played games. Dan and I stayed in Vegas for like 5 days and it was nice to just relax! Then it was back home and to work. We both worked New Year's Eve, which was fine. I'm not a huge New Year's fan, so I chose to work and make time and a half! We spent the rest of the week snowboarding and relaxing. Now it is back to school (so not looking foward, only 6 more months...aahh!)

Exciting News!

So this last Monday I took my LPN states boards, and I found out today that I PASSED!! I was so nervous because I left there having no idea how I did! I am very excited that I passed, and for the $4.00/hr pay raise at work!

ONE YEAR ANNIVERSARY

So Friday Dan and I celebrated our one year anniversary. Going to Cabo a few weeks ago was a big gift this year. Anyways, it was such a lovely day. We are both so busy with work and school and stuff it was nice to just take a whole day for the two of us. We woke up and I made the most incredible sticky buns (so easy, i will post the recipe later), and then Dan went to school for a couple of hours. He came home with beautiful flowers. We then went to Color Me Mine and painted for a couple hours. It was a lot of fun. After that we headed up to Salt Lake to have dinner at our favorite resturuant Cucina Toscana for dinner. My mom had had the top tier of our cake in her freezer so when we got home we had a bite of that (even though i hate cake!) I love you Dan!

So as I was sitting in class this morning I looked at my phone and noticed I had missed a call from Dan. I thought nothing of it and would call him back when I got out of class, until he called again. I stepped out to answer his call. He was panicing! He told me his keys were in my purse and he had no way to get to school so he was riding his bike. Your bike? To UVSC? We live in Springville! Well on went the conversation and I found out he was had made it to his work, Ruby River but needed to get a ride because he had to be to class in 15 minutes for a presentation. He had found a cook to give him a ride to school... but when we talked later he had told me he rode his bike on the freeway! Without a helmet? What was he thinking? Dan, with his backpack on riding his bike on the side of the freeway! I didn't know whether to laugh, cry, be mad! He could have killed himself! Why was this his first thought? It would have never been mine! As time went on I couldn't get the image of him on his bike on the freeway! What a nut! Man, I love him! He is just crazy!

CABO SAN LUCAS

So this last week Dan and I went to Mexico! My family has a timeshare down there and no one was using it this year so we took total advantage! We had a great time! We went deep sea fishing caught some Mahi Mahi! I had never been deep sea fishing and I was a little apprehensive. It ended up being a lot of fun, just way to long- 8 hours! A half day would have been much better. We also went to the spa and had our first couple's massage. It was very relaxing. It was Dan's first visit to the spa and I think he was a little unsure of the whole 'walking around in nothing but a robe thing' but he had fun! The rest of the time was just spent relaxing by the pool, eating, sleeping, hanging out. We stayed at a beautiful resort called Pueblo Bonito at Sunset Beach. It's on the pacific side of Cabo. We always stay on the Sea of Cortez side, so this was a nice change. It was a very pretty resort though and we had a lovely trip!

Welcome Home SPENCER!

So this weekend we went down to Las Vegas to welcome Daniel's little brother Spencer home from his mission. He has served the last two years in Tulsa, OK. So Saturady morning at 8:45am we all gathered at the airport. I felt so awkward because I had not met Spencer yet. I was trying to get Dan to stand by me as he came down the stair's so he'd at least know who I was, but he ran up and gave Spencer a huge hug while I just sort of hung out in the background. After he hugged everyone it was my turn, so we hugged and met. Anyways, it was a lot of fun meeting him and spending time with him this weekend!

So dan and i and my little sisters went down to Vegas over Labor day to see Justin Timberlake, and I must say it was one of the greatest concerts I've ever been to! If anyone has the chance to see him--GO! Other than that, nothing to exciting is happening. We went up to SLC today for a movie and dinner. We ate at this place called Tiburon in Sandy and it was really yummy! I got a new i pod nano (i dropped mine in the bath about 6 months ago and i've been going crazy) and dan got a new x box game! it was a good day!
